DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today an adorable VOGUE baby doll which is circa 1964. These dolls used to be quite readily found, but they have become quite difficult to find over these few years, in good condition. She is a fairly large doll standing approximately 17″ tall. She is jointed at the neck, but her arms and legs are on a metal armature which runs through her original foam body. This metal armature allows her limbs to bend and move in any direction you so desire. Her foam body has darkened somewhat over the years, but that is quite normal for these dolls of this age. She has her natural straight dark brown rooted hair which is cut into a short baby cut and looks adorable on her. It has been washed and conditioned prior to my listing her. I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has, as I mentioned above, dark brown straight rooted hair, which frames her face beautifully. She is wearing a precious custom made hair band, which matches her adorable pastel color tutu. I took pale pink elastic ribbon and cut it to fit the dolls head perfectly. I then took wide pastel pink, mint green and yellow satin ribbon and made a large bow. I then hand stitched the bow to the top of the elastic hairband, which allows the bow to stand nice and upright on the dolls head. By hand making these doll hair bands, you don’t have to worry about them falling off and getting lost. It takes lots of time to create these hair bows for each doll, but I really want their new mommy’s to be proud of their new dolly. As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows. She has black side glancing sleep eyes. Her eyes do open and close freely. Her eyelashes remain nice and thick and look adorable with those big whimsical black eyes. She has a dainty petite nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her precious open lips. Her lips are painted a soft pink color and have such a sweet look to them. Her chubby baby cheeks have beautiful coloring, which really enhances those big dark eyes. The back of her neck is simply hallmarked: «VOGUE». When Posy Pixi came to me, she was wearing her original pale yellow jumper with attached feet to the jumper. There are metal snaps in the back to take the jumper off of her. It was quite dirty, so I soaked it and it came out quite nice. The feet to the jumper were torn, so I had to replace them with another fabric. I added a precious pink rosette to the center of the neckline on the jumper, which picks up the mint green and pale pink colors in her tutu. Her face was quite dirty as were her hands. I had to carefully wash them and use q-tips to get the dirt out of all the cracks and crevices of the fingers. After I washed her hair, face and hands, I put the clean pale yellow jumper back on her and added this adorable and very full pastel color tutu in shades of pale pink, pale yellow, mint green and lavender. I sewed a large pastel satin bow to the front center of her tutu, which picks up all the lovely colors in her tutu. Even though her jumper is footed, I wanted her to look extra cute, so I put these precious pale yellow booties with large pale yellow satin ribbon bows on top of each foot. I added the same rosettes on top of each booty that matches the one in the front center of her jumper. She is absolutely adorable and you won’t find another one like her. She just needs a new mommy to come home to. My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I’ve tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth having; for each one is like children…..they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I’ve missed something it would never be intentional. SIZE: This vintage VOGUE «Posy Pixi» baby doll measures approximately 17″ tall. CONDITION: This doll is Vintage, but in what I would consider good condition. Her foam body remains in good condition and has darkened a bit over time, but that should be expected. Her metal armature bends easily for posing in different positions. Her hair remains thick with lots of shine to it. Her side glancing sleep eyes do open and close freely. She has all her fingers. Her adorable tutu is new and was purchased just for her to pick up all the pastel colors and the lovely yellow jumper. The photos really tell the story about this doll.
