Here for auction is a very, very nice vintage Singer 221-1, Featherweight sewing machine. Comes with its case, booklet, oil, a number of bobbins and a number of attachments as well and as shown . The machine works great and has been tested. Runs a stitch very well. Has been fitted with a brand new Superbelt from The Featherweight Shop. The machine has been oiled in approx 30 places as directed, with Sew Retro grease from the featherweight shop. The inside of the machine is quite nice but has not been deep cleaned per se. The outside of the machine appears to be quite clean to the touch. The bulb is working. The case shows some minor wear from use in places but is still very respectable. Handle and latches work as they should with no issues. The serial number is: AF742082 which I believe dates this to 1941 with a commission date of January 7. A super nice 221 machine in wonderful working order. I offer this as found and as shown and have done my best to describe it. Please read all of my description and look at all of the images as they are an important part of the description. I do not profess to be an expert about all of the items that I offer for auction. No offense but ebay takes their percentage immediately upon the close of auction. If you are Buying It Now or I have accepted an offer, then I would expect payment at that time and I thank you for that. My shipping works the following way: I measure and weigh the item. I then plug those numbers in and ebay calculates the exact cost at the least expensive way, to your zipcode. I use USPS and Fed Ex, whichever works best. I don’t charge for packing nor handling. If you need to cancel your bid, please don’t ask me to do that for you. Often times I am not near my computer. It is easier for you to cancel your own bid with no problems from me nor ebay. I will ship worldwide, I am however enrolled in ebays Global Shipping Program and if your country is included, then you can easily find the shipping costs by checking your ebay page. I am not able to. For all out of country buyers I will only ship with ebays global shipping program as the tracking # works all the way to your door and the item is insured. Otherwise, tracking stops at the border of the USA. If shipped out of country, I cannot be liable for any unknown duty or foreign charges as well as losses.
