This is a drawing. It is NOT a model. You are buying a PRINT of this drawing.An incredibly detailed and ACCURATE rendering of BIG BOY No.4014 as it was in June 2010 at the RailGiants Train Museum at the LACo. Fairplex. The abundance and accuracy of detail allows me to offer this print in the huge 20″x 60″ or 24″x 72″ sizes. You are purchasing an original print of my digital drawing. Although created entirely within the computer, my illustrations are drawings in every sense of the word. Instead of using a pen or pencil, I use a common computer mouse to drag the cursor across the computer screen in the same manner as taking pencil to paper. Every line, every shape is created by moving my mouse across my desktop in the same manner that you use your computer’s mouse at home. Every line and detail is indeed, hand drawn. (I do reserve the artistic right to sometimes augment my drawings with my own original manipulations.) And because the «original» composition exists only in digital code, it does not become an artwork until it is printed. Every print produced is therefore an original artwork. Mind-blowing…Right! I invite you to click on the “visit store” link and have a look around. Even though each drawing is labor intensive, often requiring 100+ hours to complete, I have many titles to choice from. All of my drawing are created in a vector format and can therefore be enlarged or reduced with absolutely no degradation in clarity. If you have a special size requirement please email me; and like most of my drawings, I can add personalizing text as you desire. Each drawing is printed on heavy weight, acid free, archival quality paper stock and mailed in a sturdy mailing tube to prevent damage. Printing on canvas adds a quiet elegance and rich sophistication, and quite frankly, it just makes the print look expensive. And perhaps best of all, it comes ready to hang right out of the box. (You’ve just made up the extra cost of the print by eliminating the cost of a frame.) The resources required to offer printing on canvas exceeds our studio’s ability to make such a capital investment. So we’ve done the next best thing and partnered with Costco. By utilizing their printing facilities and distribution network, we are able to enter this new market and still keep our prices competitive. (Although your order will be processed and delivered through Costco, you cannot make your order through their store. All of my artworks are copyrighted and can only be purchased through me.) Your canvas prints will have a full bleed to the edges. It will not have our usual white border. The stretched canvas prints are printed on best quality giclée, artist-quality canvas. Each print is UV light protected and professionally framed. Each frame is individually hand-assembled using high quality Plantation Grown Radiata Pine and recycled natural wood product. A 1.25” Gallery Wrap print is inset, leaving a 3/8” space between canvas and frame. The printed canvas image is 16” x 48”. The overall dimension including frame is 17.75 “x 49.75”.
