A VERY LARGE (over 10 inch tall to top of lid) HALF GALLON translucent PURPLE colored antique Fruit Jar. What is unusual about this jar is that it is SQUARE. This is NOT a reproduction but an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE canning jar, ‘UNION MADE’, a blown glass jar with a smooth lip, dating well OVER 100 YEARS OLD. Jar is embossed: «S K O / Queen / TRADEMARK / WIDE MOUTH / ADJUSTABLE», with lots of additional motifs and designs. Base of jar embossed: «SMALLEY / KIVLAN / ONTHANK / BOSTON», with a ghosted weakly struck, ‘UNION MADE’ wording in middle of base. Condition: Jar is in SPARKLING PRISTINE CLEAN condition. It has just some traces of haze and age wear, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Please see pictures to get overall idea of bottle’s appearance/condition. Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE blown-glass jar (Automatic Bottle Machine = ABM), ca. early 1900. Shipping: FREE DOMESTIC shipping.
