Dovzhenko Film Studio. The filming took place in Kerch. Crux (/krʌks/) is a constellation of the southern sky that is centred on four bright stars in a cross-shaped or kite-like asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross. However, many other people, among whom there are many war veterans, provide all possible assistance to Boyko. Fedor is depressed by the fact that Pavel Ivanovich is alone. He believes that the pilot has a son, is trying to send him a telegram, and even goes «like a hare» to Kherson. Alas, in the end it turns out that it was Fedoseenko himself who worked in Kherson at a shipyard, from where he quit in 1924 to enter the school of red pilots. When Fedka returns to his hometown, the boy learns that on the day of his departure, Pavel Ivanovich died. Then the guys take an oath that if they don’t see the Southern Cross with their own eyes, they will be considered talkers. Antarctic Station, shortly after Valentina Tereshkova’s space flight.
