HELLO, YOU ARE BIDDING ON A USED Apple MacBook Pro «Core i5-3210M» 2.5 13″, Mid 2012 Notebook; Part # MD101LL/A; Model # A1278 with MagSafe AC Adapter. THIS ITEM IS USED AND IT IS IN EXCELLENT UPGRADED CONDITION. COSMETICALLY THIS MacBook Pro IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I’VE KEPT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON IT THE ENTIRE TIME I OWNED IT. THERE ARE A COUPLE MINOR SCUFFS ON THE LID AND THE BOTTOM SIDE. THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PALM REST IS WORN BECAUSE THAT IS WHRE THE LATCH FOR MY WATCH RESTED AS I TYPED. FINALLY, THERE IS A MINOR DING ON THE LOWER LEFT CORNER OF THE LID. THE DINGS IN THE LID WERE THERE WHEN I BOUGHT THE NOTEBOOK. FINALLY, I’M A 63-YEAR-OLD COMUTER TECH. IT’S BEEN KEPT IN A NON-SMOKING HOME THE ENTIRE TIME I’VE OWNED IT. I UPGRADED TO A NEW MacBook Pro IN JANURARY 2023 AND IT’S BEEN SITTING ON A SHELF IN MY HOME SINCE. I’VE FINALLY RETREIVED ALL MY DATA FROM THE COMPUTER AND RETURNED IT TO FACTORY DEFAULTS. I’VE OWNED THIS COMPUTER SINCE 5/2/16. I CHOSE THIS MID 2012 MacBook Pro BECAUSE IT’S THE LAST YEAR THAT COULD BE UPGRADED. ALL LATER MacBook Pro MODELS NEEDED TO BE CONFIGURED AT THE FACTORY. THIS NOTEBOOK I UPGRADED THE RAM TO 16GB AND I REPLACED THE ORIGINAL DRIVE WITH A 2TB HARD DRIVE. THE COMPUTER HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY. AFTER I EXPORTED THE LAST OF MY DATA FROM THE NOTEBOOK, I TURNED OFF THE “FIND MY” AND I LOGGED OUT OF iCloud AND Apple ID. I CREATED A NEW “OWNER” USER ACCOUNT AND I DELETED MY PERSONAL USER ACCOUNT. I BOOTED TO THE macOS UTILITIES AND ERASED THE ENTIRE 2TB HARD DRIVE AND INSTALLED A NEW COPY OF macOS Catalina ON THE DRIVE. ONCE THE INSTALL WAS COMPLETED, AND THE VOICE OVER STARTED TALKING, I SHUT THE COMPUTER OFF. FINALLY, THE BATTERY DOES HOLD A CHARGE, BUT IT DOESN’T LAST A LONG TIME. I’VE NEVER USED IT WITHOUT THE AC ADAPTER. I DIDN’T WANT IT SLOWING DOWN TO CONSERVE BATTERY POWER, SO I ALWAYS KEPT IT PLUGGED IN WHILE IN USE.
