eBay This is an antique wooden / treen souvenir in the shape of a bowling pin. It has a transferred image of Shanklin Beach which is on the Isle of Wight. Mauchline ware. Inside is a little wooden cylinder shaped thing so this could be either a bobbin holder or a thread spool and a needle holder in the middle. No maker’s marks etc. Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition. Normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs and minor impact marks. The image is worn slightly. There is a ring where the varnish has been scratched off right at the very top of the neck. It measures approx. 75mm (3 inches) tall x 30mm wide at its widest point. My stock ref : LVT-jan23- in treen drawer. The ROYAL MAIL postal service I have been using for the past 45 years, I was always a loyal customer to and I would always want to use them over anyone else, have let me down seriously this year. Their service was on a downer for the last year or so but has come to head in November – December when they took strike action for many days during those months. Their service was pretty bad before this to be fair but what a SHAMBLES it is now. I have customers around the world and in the UK that have not had delivery of their packages from me, sent tracked mail. Lost or delayed in sorting depot’s and customs terminals.
